Interviews: Ancient Species

We have had the opportunity to interview the Blackened Death Metal band Ancient Species from Mexico. Check out the interview and follow the band on their  FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Ancient Species was chosen because the band is influenced by ancient civilizations and conspiracy theory’s

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

We were heavily influenced by death metal/black metal/deathcore and thought it would be a sick combinations genre’s

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

yes we all in one way or another had all met through previous bands 

4. Each band member favourite band?

Belphegor, Death, Immortal, Dying Fetus

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Satan, conspiracy theories, forensic science, and crime scene investigation

6. Where was your last gig?

Yourevolution in Tijuana, MX

7. Where would you like to act?

Metal Festivals like Infernal fest, 7000 tons of metal, Hellfest, Wacken Open Air

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

We are going to be doing a feature with Misstiq in the near feature 9) 

9. Whom not?

We wouldn’t turn down anyone for a feature. That’s always awesome

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Not really. We practice a lot and feel confident in every event we play. Tips for beginners to not feel stage fright is just to practice practice practice and you’ll have that same confidence as well. 

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Lorna Shore, Iron Maiden, Hate, Belphegor, Behemoth, Lamb of God, Metalocalypse 

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

13. What do you think of your fans?

They are awesome and always get the pit going! Without them we are nothing

It's a really good site and I like that you guys are supporting metal bands. Thank you for including us in this interview
