Interviews: ARTIFAS

We have had the opportunity to interview the Hard Rock band ARTIFAS from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their  FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

The band name means “duality” in Sanskrit, and a lot of our lyrical content is based around the recurring theme of light vs dark, good vs evil.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

Because the riffage is dope, and the high energy vibe is something that always appealed to us.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes. Some of us came up together through the local scene playing in different bands. It’s kinda like the Power Rangers coming together to make a Megazord.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Scottie: Karnivool.

Cody: Red.

Anthony: Linkin Park.

Michael: The Gazette.

Jared: Sevendust. 

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Life. Our lyrics are usually pretty relatable because they’re all based on things that we’ve experienced. We just really write about the human complex and the struggles of navigating our time here on Earth. 

6. Where was your last gig?

Nashville, TN for a Halloween show! It was a blast!

7. Where would you like to act?

Basically any Batman, Star Wars, or Marvel movie we would act in lol we’re nerds. 

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Tom Macdonald. Straight up. Also Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach. Not Travis Barker tho. 

9. Whom not?

Not Travis Barker or Lars Ulrich. 

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Just do it. We used to get a little bit for sure, but it fades after a while. Just gotta push through it and focus on giving the people a good show 

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

11. Red, Karnivool, Sevendust, Periphery, Issues, Papa Roach, Linkin Park, Twelve Foot Ninja, and Garth Brooks 

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

To gangbang his wife. That was a weird request. Lol 

13. What do you think of your fans?

We love them! They’re the only reason we’re able to do what we do. Without them this band wouldn’t exist. 

14. What do you think of our site?

It’s dope! It’s nice to see people helping spread awareness about music and trying to get the word out. 

15. Something to add?
