Interviews: Freakshow

We have had the opportunity to interview the Nu-Metal band Freakshow from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Hi, there I´m Michael, well the name came about because in the early days of our group we had a song called freakshow and there is a band in Australia called the flood.. that was our original name (THE FLOOD).

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

The groove, the melodies, and the soundscapes. I always liked Nu-Metal so we created the nu-metal 2.0

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes, myself Michael J. Felder was friends with Todd Sauer for many many years in our scene in San Diego,

4. Each band member favourite band? 

Mike: CRIMSON GLORY/KORN

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

MIKE: (I am the songwriter) I take the inspiration from the universe, the night sky, the plants, trees, rivers and streams...the world around us

6. Where was your last gig? 

We just played in HOLLYWOOD CA.. a small place called UNIVERSAL BAR AND GRILL small stage fun place to play

7. Where would you like to act? 

In movies!!! it would be awesome to be in a film

8. Whom would you like to feature with? 

Well, Scarlett Johansson of course!!!

9. Who not?

Sean Penn!

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that? 

Stage fright? wow have had that feeling in a very long time... well how you get over it is confidence true and tried confidence.. you have to believe in yourself wholeheartedly if you don't well you'll get shaky legs or even vomit!!!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

I have to admit KORN is one..watched them go from working hard to working way harder best band in rock history, crimson glory they were an 80s band really talented beyond anything of their day and Queensryche... I love vocals and guitar 

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for? 

A ride home, ya have had that one before...we're on tour where ya going to sit? I don't care was the reply!!! gotta love your fans!

13. What do you think of your fans?

Love our fans! we have the best fans in the world!!! 

14. What do you think of our site?

Breathing The Core website...tons of bands there, very informative!
