Interviews: Stozhar

We have had the opportunity to interview the Folk Metal band Stozhar from Russia. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

I am glad to welcome all readers of the resource! The name of the group was not chosen by chance - Stozhar is the Old Russian folk name of the Pleiades star cluster.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

This genre is closer in spirit and perception of the world than other metal styles. 

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

When creating the group, all the participants were familiar and were friends, we remain them to the current moment.

4. Each band member favourite band?

It is difficult to single out something specific, there are a lot of good teams, and the preferences of all musicians are very different.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

The creative process always takes place in different ways, of course, bright events inspire you to write music, but it happens that a musical work is born by itself.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last concert was held in our hometown of Yaroslavl, at the moment we are doing more studio work, this is due to both concert restrictions and the employment of the band members.

7. Where would you like to act?

We traveled a lot with concerts in Russia, we also visited the near abroad, of course I would like to go on a tour, for example, in Europe, I would also like to perform at summer European festivals, but unfortunately for a number of reasons now there is no opportunity.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Who we wanted to talk to we have already talked to for a long concert activity))) 

9. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

All of us were once beginners, and to say that there was no stage fright is stupid, just with the experience of excitement before the performance to become less) 

10. What bands have inspired you the most?

Well, I am personally inspired by: Temnozor, Kroda, Nokturnal Mortum

11. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Well, probably, send a photo of the group with autographs to France)))

12. What do you think of your fans?

We have great respect for our fans.

13. What do you think of our site?

You have a very good resource, we wish you prosperity, and further development))
