Behind The Artworks: Derision Cult - Charlatans Inc. (2021)

Iowa street artist Bret Miller painted this and it's called Riot Party.  We wanted to depict the commercialization of civil unrest.   Riot Party is one those booze/party things mashed together with a police riot helmet.  On one side there's a dollar design because there were people making a lot of money off the heels of all the outrage in America in the last year and on the right is a famous old slogan that's been subverted to represent how everyday brands we see everyday are trying to inject themselves into these hot button issues.
