Behind The Artworks: Moon Reaper - Descent (2021)

The Descent artwork was bought from an independent artist, and was adapted/ edited by Jack Mandrupson. The vortex/eye featured with the reaper's scythe depicts the celestial reaper (black hole) parading over its victims, with the steps leading to oblivion. The juxtaposition of having to ascend the steps to achieve the descent to the void is intentional, as are the descending qualities of the vortex itself. The ultimate idea was to create the perfect storm and a very visual representation of the passage to another realm, into the void, never to return.
