Interviews: Frontières

We have had the opportunity to interview the Metalcore band Frontiéres from Canada. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

First of all, it was really important for us to have a french name since we are french Canadians from Quebec City. We put on paper a few ideas that we liked first and then all agreed that this name was the best for us.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

We have always been fans of playing and listening metal in all its subgenres.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Three members (Frédéric, Joel and Dominique) have been playing together since high school, so it goes back to almost 15 years.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Silent Planet, Shadows of Intent, Breakdown of Sanity, Bilmuri and Northlane.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Pretty much all the bands written above. We like a lot of different metal subgenres and get our inspiration from listening to every styles.

6. Where was your last gig?

We never had any gigs yet, since we formed during the COVID.

7. Where would you like to act?

In our hometown, Quebec.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Currents or Silent Planet.

9. Whom not?

Nickelback

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

It has never happened to us, but the best tip is pratice makes perfect, preparation is always your best ally

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

The ones we have mentionned above, along with the classic metalcore bands, PWD, ABR, etc

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Nothing really.

13. What do you think of your fans?

Just to think people take of their precious time to listen to our stuff is crazy!
