Interviews: JADED STAR

We have had the opportunity to interview the Melodic Metal band JADED STAR from Greece. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or come out just like that?

The Jade stone is an ancient stone harder than steel with healing powers both mental and physical, which is something we want to achieve with our music as well.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

We don’t really try to belong in a specific genre…we are melodic yes but mainly because of the vocals.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Not with all the band members. With most of them we just met because I was looking for new musicians. With Angelos the keyboard player we are friends for 17 years and have played together in many projects!

4. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Mainly life itself is enough inspiration!

5. Where was your last gig?

I think it was in our hometown Athens in a special Xmas show!

6. Where would you like to act?

Anywhere around the world really! Due to the pandemic, we haven’t been able to perform in such a long time!

7. Whom would you like to feature with?

We would love to tour with big names such as Evanescence, Within Temptation , Nightwish, etc

8. Whom not?

Not someone specific!

9. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

I used to have a huge fear of going on stage but at some point it went out of control and I had to do something about it.I started thinking what I would do if someone would take this a away from me…what if I couldn’t sing anymore or go on stage anymore…this helped a lot and the hunger of going on stage grew stronger!

10. What bands have inspired you the most?

The Gathering Porcupine Tree Nothing More Architects

11. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

To sign on her newborn baby! That was China.

12. What do you think of your fans?

They mean the world to us, they give us strength to carry on and hope for better days!

13. What do you think of our site?

It’s a great one! Keep up the good work!!!

14. Something you'd like to add?

It’s really important to support your favorite artists by purchasing merch and physical copies instead of online streaming Which is a total rip off for us artists. In times like these where we can’t really go on tour this our only income!
