Behind The Artworks: De Arma - Strayed In Shadows (2021)

The cover depicts a man stuck in a dark and dystopian futuristic metropolis. A dreary place where danger lurks around every corner. The owl represents the light that will help him navigate his way out of this urban hellscape. But the light is so bright as to be blinding, leaving him unable to see clearly. The shadow it casts pulls and tugs at him, trying to hold him back.

This design is, in many ways, a visual manifestation of what Andreas’ mind was like many years ago – during the period explored through most of the lyrics. It perfectly captures the sense of being lost, emotionally as well as geographically. Trapped in a concrete swamp with high-rises as far as the eye can see, breathing polluted air and surrounded by humanity.
