Interviews: Brainstorming

We have had the opportunity to interview the Rock band Brainstorming from France. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or come out just like that?

Honestly, it came like that. we were on stage for a musical competition and we haven't got a name, and we said what kind of music we do? that can be all, that's only brainstorming. and that is how we find our name.

2. Why did you want to play this genre? 

Because we love rock and rap music, for us that's best kind of music for being rebel and being understood.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes, we are friends, that's why playing together is evidence. we love to play, jam, laugh, drink, cry, and all that. that's the spirit of our group, having fun and doing it with pleasure

4. Each band member's favorite band? 

Pierre love metal and hard rock bands like Metallica, Megadeth, AC DC, and Van Halen Gaspard love some 70's songs like king crimson, yes, and some psychedelic name but I'm no expert on all that(laugh)

Jean Michel love some jazzy and soul bands like Roy Ayers, bill withers, and his favorite band is french, that's Magma and me Monssef, I love some rap songs, Snoop dog, Dr Dre, Busta rhymes, and many others

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs? 

Maybe in our life, we always talk about the place where we live. we got a lot to say. we have to just see around us, many poverty, many injustices, many love, ... all people know a man who need to help, who's want to be redemption, who's never changed, ... that's the story of our lives

6. Where was your last gig?

I don't know maybe it was in a pub in the south of France. the bar is a good place for playing music cuz that's small, intimate, and generally, they have good beer

7. Where would you like to act? 

We don't really know, we just want to play for fun. it can be any place.

8. Whom would you like to feature with? 

That's a good question, a lot of artists inspire us, personally, a good producer like rick Rubin can be benefic for our group. if you talk about a group I would like to feature with ice T from body count, RATM ... cuz that's the same sound, this melting pot of Rap and rock music.

9. Whom not? 

Uhh... Some artists of Pop music. We don't wanna do something with them.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that? 

Inhale, exhale, ... No we never be suffered by that. We are in the family, we friendship together, we always happy to play together and give the best for our public. like the Liverpool soccer team said " we never walk alone"

11. What bands have inspired you the most? 

Like we said, rage against the machine, body count, king crimson, Chicago, and many more.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for? 

Well, uh.. when we finish our set, we like to challenge ourselves, we ask to the public what kind of music they wanna listen to. they say and we do. but this day, they wanna listen to a fucking shit french song. we don't play it, we say goodbye and we finish the concert like that.

13. What do you think of your fans? 

Good people, always with good vibrations, always here to listen to us everywhere. we got love for our fans. they always come to say something, they can be a good or bad critic, but always constructive. We are young, we fault at times, but that's never against our fans or everybody. that's the music world.

14. What do you think of our site? 

It's great to have sites like yours. it's important for emerging groups like us. you do a great job for groups not known but which deserve to be, and be listened to by your fan base, you indirectly make us live. thank you for your kindness and long life to your website.

15. Something to add? 

Can't wait to have you listen to the new album in September 2022 under the music records label. it will be one of our best group projects. to be continued...
