Interviews: Dead Echoes

We have had the opportunity to interview the Hard Rock/Metal band Dead Echoes from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or come out just like that?

The name Dead Echoes came from the thought of what people become when their dreams fall through. The band was created during a rough time which inspired the entire first album, “Twin Flames”.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

We are huge rock fans! You can convey a wide range of emotions in rock music.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

We did not. We met for the purpose of recording an album.

4. Each band member favourite band?

We have a lot of favorite bands, honestly. Bryan is a huge fan of Tool. So am I (Matt). One of my new favorite groups is Starset. They jam.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

The subject matter of the songs comes directly from events in our lives that are happening in that moment. We are telling stories about real experiences. We know there are people who will listen that will relate to those stories. It’s good for them to know that they are not alone and that they will make it through whatever their struggle is.

6. Where was your last gig?

We haven’t played any shows yet together. It’s been harder to get together and make these things happen with the way the pandemic has played out. But we definitely are excited about the thought of getting out there!

7. Where would you like to perform?

I don’t think there is any specific place we have thought of right now. More so we just want to play in general.

8. Whom would you like to perform with?

Any group who is there because they love to perform. We just want to have a good time doing what we love and so would want to play with like-minded individuals... of the rock genre.

9. Whom not?

Not really sure... I guess if there is a band who makes playing a show unenjoyable we would want to avoid them.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

I think everyone might experience a level of this. I would say avoid drinking to shake those nerves... it could affect your playing. It could also make you a YouTube star though ha ha.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Bands like Tool, Godsmack, Soundgarden, Sevendust probably. There are far too many to list.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Money for a shirt idea. We are still new so I know it will get weirder.

13. What do you think of your fans?

They are awesome, smart, funny, and good looking! Anyone who likes us are rockstars by default.

14. What do you think of our site?

It’s a nice clean site. Really like the logo. Where are the t-shirts?
