Interviews: So Much Hope, Buried
This is a new interview with the Melodic Post-Hardcore band So Much Hope, Buried from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.
1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or came out just like that?
The name So Much Hope, Buried, basically encompasses how we always bury our hopes into things that don’t last. The purpose of this band is to bring light and love in the places where hope is buried.
2. Why did you want to play this genre?
Bart: To bring something fresh to the area because this genre isn't prominent here as much as it should be. I also want to share something that I love.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Yes! Some of us went to college together, and high school.
4. Each band member's favorite band?
Bart - Counterparts
Derek - Relient K
Eric - Owl City
Andrew - Switchfoot
Nick - A Day to Remember
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
Bart: I would say my faith and love. As cheesy and generic as that sounds. Also the artists and bands we listen to.
6. Where was your last gig?
Our last gig was at Planet Trog in Whitehall PA
7. Where would you like to act?
Probably Japan, or Grafton WV
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
That’s tough. We would probably say Being as an Ocean, Garrett from Silent Planet, or a Japanese Melodic Hardcore band haha
9. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?
Derek: Growing up I was always afraid to sing in front of people. My advice for that is to not worry about what others think about you! Be yourself, give yourself some grace.
10. What bands have inspired you the most?
Bart: For me I would say, Counterparts, Being as an Ocean, Dependence, Silent Planet, Casey, Hotel Books and Worthwhile but that barely scratches the surface haha.
11. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
Derek: To send a video of me singing happy birthday to their friend! I was honored.
12. What do you think of your fans?
They are the bee’s knees, no cap!
13. What do you think of our site?
We love how you guys support the music that needs to be heard!
14. Something to add?
Our single ‘Rose Eyes’ is streaming on all platforms now. Our EP release show will be at the Wyoming Avenue Christian Church in Kingston PA on March 11th 2022. We hope to see you there, if not, we hope you like our new EP Sentiment. It means a lot to us!
