1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or came out just like that?
The band’s name is more of a statement. When we formed the band and started thinking about what kind of music we wanted to create, we knew we wanted to make something that was purely ours and not follow in the footsteps of other artists. Originality and diversity are the keystones within our sound, it is purely of our design.
2. Why did you want to play this genre?
We love how diverse metal can be, you can fit in a lot of different emotions and the live energy and interaction is unmatched.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
A mixture of yes and no. Haydn, Kieran and George were all friends beforehand.
4. Each band member's favorite band?
George: The Word Alive
Kieran: Alpha Wolf
Haydn: Bring Me The Horizon
Oli: TesseracT
Ant: Finch
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
LIFE
6. Where was your last gig?
The last show we played was at The Bull in Colchester for the Metal 2 The Masses. It was such a great show with so many people supporting local bands.
7. Where would you like to play?
I think the dream would be to play Download Festival someday! That will be the 'We've made it' moment for us.
8. Who would you like to support?
Any of our favorite bands would be a dream come true!
9. Who not?
This is a tough question, probably anyone in the pop world where our fans wouldn't mix.
10. Have Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
I would argue that we all still experience stage fright in one way or another, you just learn how to deal with it in your own ways. Our tip for beginners: Have a practice and warm-up beforehand, take a deep breath, have a pint if you're of age, and go and blow everyone's socks off!
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
Bands that have made amazing use of synths in metal are a large inspiration for Of Our Design. Bands such as: The Word Alive, Ice Nine Kills, Born Of Osiris, Sonic Syndicate, The Browning & Dead By April.
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
We've had fans ask George to record videos of himself singing random songs for them... they're still pending.
13. What do you think of your fans?
Do we have fans? Stop hiding!
14. What do you think of our site?
We love how much you push so many different genres of bands! We didn't even know Narnia metal existed.
