Behind The Artworks: GRAVESHADOW – The Uncertain Hour (2022)
Walker: We wanted a forest setting for this record, which for me really kind of represented the
path we had ahead of us. We weren’t exactly sure of the way forward but we knew we needed to
keep going. We’ve always had a witch on our album covers, who we affectionately call Sally.
We wanted to elaborate on her a bit more and chose to represent her as a wolf on this cover. The
wounded leg also kind of represents the past couple of years, we took a lot of hits. Parted ways
with members, missed some opportunities but we’re still standing. When listeners flip the album
over they see Sally, in her normal form. Still powerful, still raging despite the bleeding. We
wanted it to feel grandiose, fantastical, and ominous. I love how it came out, it’s perfect.
