Interviews: Another Chance
This is a new interview with the Melodic Hardcore/Hardcore Punk/Punk Rock band Another Chance from Argentina. Check out the interview and follow the artist on his FACEBOOK PAGE.
1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
We planned it as a new opportunity for each one of us, a new chance... We came from different bands and the name tries to reflect that, a new chance, a new beginning.
2. Why did you want to play this genre?
We try to reach our own personal style. Getting that identity is our major goal, mixing every single genre we had listened through our lives.
That's why we don't want to be referenced to a specific genre.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
No, everyone came from different bands, even different cities.
4. Each band member favourite band?
This is a hard one, any of us has a favourite band, we listen to lot of music, that's why we can't pick only one.
But, we can tell you that our music taste goes from punk rock to death metal, passing through lot of genres.
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
Basically situations from our lives, from diy way to make things, to injustice or depression or even pets. Always trying to leave a positive message an to keep the bright side of everything.
6. Where was your last gig?
It was 7 years ago. After that we had a long break as a band. First because we were finishing the new songs, that came out on our last album "Resurgir". That situation along with changes in the line up of the band, plus the pandemic make that break too long hahaha. Fortunately we are back again with new album, new musicians and new songs... Better late than ever...
7. Where would you like to act?
Anywhere, after the long time away from stages, now we are trying to play as much shows as we can. But to name some festival as a dream, that would be Punk Rock Holiday in Slovenia.
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
Cronos Debe Morir, band from Chile that you should listen to.
9. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
Fortunately not.. there was something similar, one time playing live, the guitar battery cable got cut off.. that caused a little nervous situation.
10. What bands have inspired you the most?
Early's nu metal, skate punk and melodic hardocore from 90's, 00's and from the actual scene. Some metalcore and post hardcore bands. And most metal subgenres, from trash metal to death metal.
11. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
As a small band, the weirdest thing was someone that wanted to get a tattoo of the cover of our first album. Maybe for biggest bands that's something usual, but for us was really shocking.
12. What do you think of your fans?
We love them, we receive support from many countries despite singing in spanish. Most people is from Argentina and Chile, but also from the rest of Latin America, North America and the rest of the world. That's awesome.
13. What do you think of our site?
It's great, true attention to underground bands from all genres, that's the key for keeping the scene alive.
14. Something to add?
Thanks to the staff of Breathing The Core for the opportunity and for supporting the underground bands. Greetings from Argentina!
