Interviews: Carousel Kings

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or came out just like that?

The band name kinda just came from a list that David made his senior year of high school for band names he thought could work.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Originally the band started out wanting to bring the edge of the local Lancaster, pa metal, and combine it with fun, easier-to-play, and rock-out punk/pop-punk music like Green Day. The genre always brought out a good vibe to the shows that we sought after early on

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

I met will the guitarist when he showed up to fill in for the band on one of the early tours. I hadn’t met him before that show. He practiced with the rest of the band at the time maybe once before and then came ready to shred the day of the show and it's been history ever since.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Will likes Coldplay and animals as leaders David likes jimmy eat world and blink 182

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

We are inspired by emotion to try and create a unique vibe for each song we write together and to make each song it's own

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last gig was at the Anchor Rock Club in Atlantic City , NJ a few years ago

7. Where would you like to act?

On a comedy movie or show directed by ben stiller

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Synyster Gates, Eminem

9. Whom not?

We are pretty open to Collabs its hard to imagine who we might not work with! 

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

Yeah, I (David) used to throw up a lot before shows due to nerves and being so excited to play. The best thing I can recommend is to drink mostly water and get good sleep when you can. Don’t overthink anything too much just try to be loose and have fun

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Jimmy eat world, blink 182, the used, Coldplay

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Signing their body so they can get it tattooed

13. What do you think of your fans?

We love our fans and appreciate everyone who gives CK a listen
