Behind The Artworks: WitcheR - Lélekharang (2022)
On the cover of the album, which will be released in October, a witch-burning in a tiny village
in the Őrség can be seen with a belfry in the background – where often the soul bell was toll.
The cover symbolizes that witches were burned in the name of a new world order,
Christianity, to erase the old values, the true knowledge, so that a few privileged groups could
build billion-dollar businesses in their places, be it organized religion or the pharmaceutical
industry.
This image is a cry for help towards the old values, that we cling to them and reject the
contagion of the modern world. By the way, the painting was created manually by a very
talented Hungarian artist (Grafit & Hamu), without any digital aftertouch.
