Interviews About Albums: Buzzherd/Pale Horseman - Split (2022)
In this new interview, we sat down with the American Metal bands Buzzherd and Pale Horseman to ask some questions about their new split album.
1. Can you tell us how the split came about?
Andre from Pale Horseman contacted us about the possibility of doing a split after hearing some of our tracks randomly on Spotify. After listening to some of their stuff it was a no-brainer. Those guys are monolithic!
2. Which song on the split are you proudest of?
I would have to say Menstrualcity only because it was the first song that we got together with our new Drummer and solidified our current lineup. We write as a band and it’s really crucial to have someone who can work with us. Taylor completes us!
3. Is there a special message in this split? If so, what is it?
Lyrically a lot of the themes have to do with irrational fear. I wouldn’t call it an overarching concept, it just turned out that way.
4. Are there some lyrics that you'd love to share?
Your ego is fragile
Grasping for the words to save you
Panic is setting in
And you won’t believe the trouble that you’ve let in
Swarms of apparitions scattered around your grave
Gasp, the last shade in your body drops
You see it now, but you’re gone
5. Which inspirations have been important for this album? Like musically or friends, family, someone you'd love to thank especially?
Covid is a huge inspiration. And everything that came with it. Isolation, long periods of time without live music. We have all had our own struggles over the last few years and struggle helps with creativity. What really sparks creativity is when you have great bandmates to work with who will elevate whatever you bring in material-wise.
6. Anything you'd like to add?
Just that we’re excited about the new release and we hope everyone likes it. It’s our favorite stuff we’ve done so far
