Behind The Artworks: Sarpa - Mauta Tala (2022)

The cover art is a picture I - David Baxter - took in a graveyard on a crisp fall day. I wanted gravestones/cauldrons, since the album title 'Mauta Tala' is 'Death Rhythm' translated from Sanskrit. I also wanted kind of a desert vibe (hence the cactuses) to go along with the music. The rest of the artwork for the album layout has a similar vibe to it. SInce the general nature of Sarpa's lyrics centers around death and transcendence, I thought the art suited the lyrics for 'Mauta Tala' as well.
