Behind The Tracks: The Northern - Hourglass (Single) (2023)

Adam Linka, Drums & Vocals: “Hourglass” stems from a time during the pandemic when our vocalist Mike and myself were in a pretty depressive state, and saw a bleak future for the band. We had no idea if we were going to tour again, or what the music industry was going to look like.

Fuelled by that and both of us going through additional personal struggles in our lives, the lyrics have a dark and hopeless nature, but also highlight the importance of addressing mental health issues more openly. This self-realization instead of going down a darker path is the message we hope to convey to the listener.
