The song is about deciding whether to protect someone from the truth in turn being dishonest or whether to potentially hurt them with the brash truth. I hope that there is at least one person out there that resonates down to their bones with the song and the lyrics.

I definitely took some influence from the first and second Escape The Fate records, “Dying is Your Latest Fashion” & “This War Is Ours” and tried to combine it with something a little more current.
