Interviews: DEATH FEAST

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Thrash Metal/Death Metal band, DEATH FEAST from Portugal. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

DF: It all comes to be, on a drunken night with some friends and I thought of the name DEATH FEAST... I thought it was a great name and some friends checked it out online and there was no band with such a name. I thought that such a name deserved a band and on that same night I got a vocalist and a lead guitarist. The next day I found a bass player and the rest is history.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

DF: I thought that a name like DEATH FEAST was perfect for a Death Thrash band.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

DF: Yes, we have been friends for many years and have worked in several bands throughout the years.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

DF: We all have very different styles of Metal. What matters in this band is the sound from the late 80s.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

DF: Actually I don't get inspiration from any bands... I just try to recreate the Death Thrash sound from the late 80s.

6. Where was your last gig?

DF: We have never played live.

7. Where would you like to act?

DF: With this line up I don't believe we'll ever play live.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

DF: Nice people.

9. Whom not?

DF: Assholes!

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

DF: I can only speak for myself... being on stage is one of the best things on this Earth. If you're well rehearsed... just let yourself go...

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

DF: The band that made me wanna play music was VENOM and the song "Witching Hour". When I heard that song... I knew what I wanted to do.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

DF: People coming backstage asking for an autograph and bringing 2 copies of each release... I always find that weird.

13. What do you think of your fans?

DF: If they enjoy the music... that's all we ask.

DF: It looks interesting.
