Behind The Artworks: The Crown Remnant - Horizon (Single) (2023)

The project's logo of a skeleton with a crown is interposed on an open ocean like an island, the crown replaced by a burning city. This was the original design for the album "The End of Days", a concept record about what we do before, during, and after the world falls apart around us. The album takes us through a story with three acts, and by the final act, the world has fallen apart in a biblical-sized flood, leaving any survivor to deal with a complete abandonment of the systems, structures, and ways of living that we're all used to. What do you, and the world around you, do with a completely new beginning? "Horizon" asks that question from the perspective of a lonely, jaded survivor washed out to sea; the cover art inverted to reflect its connection to "The End of Days"
