Interviews: Inherently Lost
On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Metal band, Inherently Lost from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.
1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, did you plan it or came out just like that?
Our vocalist Mark was inspired by a book he was reading about how there is something in people and animals that is not learned behavior, instinctual almost. Combined with the Lost state of humanity you get Inherently Lost.
2. Why did you want to play this genre?
Well, I've always been into metal ever since I was a kid basically. Also, many other genres, but metal has pretty much always been at my core.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
I only knew Mark, from being in and around the scene.
4. Each band member's favorite band?
Ohh that's tough haha. It's so hard to pick just one. We all have a love for so many, many bands.
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
It could be many things really. Just driving or walking can trigger something. I'll hear a riff in my head and immediately will have to hum it into my phone and record it, so I don't forget it haha.
6. Where was your last gig?
The Vortex in Akron, Ohio.
7. Where would you like to perform?
Personally, I would like to play some festivals. I know the rest of the band would like to as well.
8. Whom would you like to perform with?
If I can pick anyone? Gojira would be nice haha.
9. Whom not?
Any band that plays country.
10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
I think every performer has at one point or another, at least at the very first show. My first show ever was pretty nerve-racking, but after that first one, I couldn't wait to play more. I'm sure most could relate.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
There are many, but a few tops would be Black Sabbath, Gojira, Tool, Godflesh, and Meshuggah.
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
Nothing weird actually, yet anyway haha.
13. What do you think of your fans?
Our fans are the greatest! They definitely keep us pushing.
14. What do you think of our site?
I really dig it. I've found some really cool bands from it!
