Intervuiews: Ramchat

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Pagan Metal band, Ramchad from Slovakia. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it, or came out just like that?

We wanted it to be related to Slavic mythology. Ramchat is the Slavic God of cosmic justice.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

We play what attracts us - powerful atmosphere, strong riffs, terrifying and narrative lyrics, psychedelia, dark... and all this in a black-to-death metal version with many other elements, so elements of stone rock, and heavy metal can also be heard in Ramchat or doom metal.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

We have known each other for over thirty-five years. We hung out in bands like Lunatic Gods, Protest, Editor - we're from the same city. When I left Lunatic Gods, I knew I wanted to play, so I approached the guys.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Guitarist Viťo and singer Walki listen to death metal, I prefer alternative black metal. Bassist Richardus loves Cradle of Filth and drummer Goldo listens to everything.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

You just need to learn to listen to the silence well...

6. Where was your last gig?

Last Saturday in the Slovak city of Prešov, formerly the Czech city of Brno. And next Saturday we will play in our capital of Slovakia, Bratislava.

7. Where would you like to act?

Where we operate - on planet Earth.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

With those who would like to play with Ramchat.

9. Whom not?

Those with whom we would not feel comfortable on the same stage...

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

Maybe when we were seventeen... not now. Tips? Certainly not alcohol

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

The ones that were themselves. Therefore, even Ramchat cannot be compared to anything. Whoever writes us the correct similes, we'll send him a CD and potato salad...

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Could he pay me to be his wife's lunch guest. I refused.

13. What do you think of your fans?

They are wise and beautiful beings.

14. What do you think of our site?
