Behind The Artworks: KRIGSGRAV - Fires In The Fall (2023)

The album art for Fires in the Fall was created by Cameron Hinojosa. He did some great artwork for us for The Sundering, so we knew we wanted to work with him again. The inspiration behind the art was to have a figure standing in the middle of what looked like a natural ritualistic circle, surrounded by stones/fire. The idea was to convey the mysticism found in the darker times of year, autumn and winter. To have a stoic figure, alone at the timberline chanting to the night sky. We find great inspiration during these times of year and typically that is when we are very active writing. There is something inherently uncertain in the air when the seasons change in the fall, like a spark of something greater than our reality that can be accessed. That was what we wanted to achieve with the cover. I think Cameron absolutely crushed it.
