Interviews: Elle Tea
On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Heavy Metal solo project, Elle Tea from Italy. Check out the interview and follow the project on his FACEBOOK PAGE.
1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came
out just like that?
I think somehow it came naturally while I was trying to find something
that wouldn't be simply my name. So I used "Elle Tea" which sounds like
"LT", my initials.
2. Why did you want to play this genre?
I simply needed it, it's a part of me.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
I'm a solo artist but I also had some great experiences playing with other
musicians in the past
4 Each band member's favorite band?
I love in general the NWOBHM for the variety of sounds. I'm also a fan
of classic hard rock and 70's sound and early epic metal.
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
I like listening to a lot of different music and this is always a great way to
remain productive. Sometimes I come up with a riff or a vocal line I like
and then the song starts to build up with its due time.
6. Where was your last gig?
My last gig was with some friends in front of a church in Florence, a life
ago. We had a classic metal band and played some shows in the city.
We really had a great time!
7. Where would you like to act?
I'm mostly a studio musician, I don't really plan to make gigs for now
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
It would be really nice to spend a couple hours singing something with
Brian May playing his acoustic 12 strings. But I think he's quite busy...
9. Whom not?
I don't know...
10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for
beginners on how to beat that?
The tip is: enjoy what you are doing and don't be afraid to make errors,
the really important thing is to do the best you can and have a great time
doing it.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
I simply can't choose a few, every band I listened to gave me something
precious.
14. What do you think of our site?
Your site is very clear, helpful, and full of content about lots of
underground bands. I rediscovered through the country section a band
from Italy I forgot the name of a decade ago! Also love that you have a
section about the artwork, very nice!
15. Something to add?
Nothing really, just keep it true \m/
