Interviews: Englomanatic Glitch
On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Electro Rock band, Englomanatic Glitch from the UK. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.
1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like
that?
EG: We were recording a demo in a small production booth when we were still in uni but
we didn’t have any lyrics for the song that we were recording that day. So Drewzi (our
singer) started reading things off the wall and he was trying to sing “Electromagnetic
Switch” however he mispronounced it and said “Englomanatic Glitch” A few months later
we decided that that was the most appropriate name for the name.
2. Why did you want to play this genre?
EG: It is the genre that resonates most with us and it’s also a combination of all of our
influences so in a way it truly represents what we do.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
EG: Yes we did.
4. Each band member's favourite band?
EG: I don’t think any of us has only one favourite band and we also all go through fazes of
listening to different genres.
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
EG: The possibility of writing something better than before.
6. Where was your last gig?
EG: In Camden.
7. Where would you like to perform?
EG: Wherever there are enough people that like our music and are happy to come to see us
live.
8. Whom would you like to perform with?
EG: Sleep Token, Pendulum, Tigercub, Highly Suspect, Gojira, Black Sun Empire, there
are so many it would be hard to have them all here.
9. Whom not?
EG: I don’t think there is anyone in particular that we wouldn’t want to play with, in our
genre of course.
10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to
beat that?
EG: Yes, one of us that we shall not name as that would bring even more pressure on him
has raging stage fright. Our tip would be a pint or two of your favourite beer and a pair of
very dark sunglasses. Next time you come to see us play live watch carefully and see if you
can spot the suspect.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
EG: Again so many it would be difficult to count.
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
EG: We haven’t had any weird requests yet but hopefully one day we’ll have enough
requests to write a book.
13. What do you think of your fans?
EG: That they have great taste in music, haha.
14. What do you think of our site?
EG: I believe websites like yours are extremely important for underground band as it
gives a chance to bands without much exposure to get heard, so keep up the good work.
15. Something to add?
EG: Stay Glitchy.
