Interviews: Even In Death

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Metal band, Even In Death from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

The name was inspired by our original drummer who was both a veteran and into his church. The saying "Even In Death" meant something special to him.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Metal was the genre that we all grew up surrounded by, especially since our hometown of San Antonio, TX was known as the heavy metal capital of the world during the 1980's and 90's. It's still a pretty heavy metal town today with so many metal bands playing every weekend.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes, our singer and bassist have been friends for many years and our guitarists and drummer all played in several local bands on the scene for a while so we all crossed paths often.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Judas Priest, Bad Omens, Ozzy, Metallica, Static X

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Everything, life events, the news, sometimes ideas just come out of the darkness. 

6. Where was your last gig?

Sneaks and Beats at the Freeman Coliseum.

7. Where would you like to act?

Act? Ha! Not sure if acting is our thing, we barely like doing our videos.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

We'd love to hit the road with Ice Nine Kills, FFDP, Pantera

9. Whom not?

There's no one that we'd be opposed to performing with but no guarantee that their fans would be into what we do.

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

No stage fright. We do get excited, especially for large shows but usually, once we are on stage we just have to remember that we need to just play our music and let it guide us. Trust in your ability and you'll be alright.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

We get inspired by a lot of bands so that would be too many to name. Some inspire us by creating killer music others inspire us by hustling and outworking their peers to move up in the world.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Our singer, but we told them they could only borrow him but not keep him.

13. What do you think of your fans?

We think our fans are awesome!!! They give us the gift of their time and loyalty and really encourage us to continue to grow as a band.

14. What do you think of our site?

It's a great place for fans to discover new music and for bands to show what they are all about.
