Unfair Fate is a Thrash/Death metal trio from Stockholm, Sweden.
Founded in 2012 by Riku Tenhunen on guitar and David Balian on drums, soon thereafter joined by William Nyström on bass. An instrumental recording of the album 'Beyond Light' was made in 2014 for the purpose of finding a vocalist.
A short while after the release, Nils Hedberg joined on vocal duties, and 'Beyond Light' was re-recorded and released in 2015. 'Send Us to Graves' (EP) was released in 2018. It saw Alexander joining on drums and the sound took a step towards blending Thrash and Death Metal, with a dash of Black Metal.
'Into the Abyss' was released in March 2022, originally only on streaming platforms before being picked up by Wormholedeath Records and seeing a physical release in 2023.
The recording of the album began in September 2020 and went on until December 2021 at Realtime Recording Studios in Norrköping, Sweden. 'Into the Abyss' delivers metal in various ways. From the fast-paced aggression of 'Confrontation', to the gut-punching 'Pinned by Conceit', to the anxiety-loaded finisher 'Sealed in Darkness', the album never shies away from bringing something new to the table.
