Interviews About Albums: ALEISTER - Nightmare (2023)

In this new interview, we sat down with the French Thrash Metal band ALEISTER to ask some questions about their new album "Nightmare"

1. What can you say about this new EP/CD?

Hi, I am David the guitarist and singer of the band, thank you for inviting us to answer this interview. This new album is a big change for us, it’s a turning point in the band's career for different things, first musically we worked on each track to find the right groove, the right tempo, the right way to play the riff, and technology make the new titles more affordable. And certainly the main thing for Aleister, we asked Sam Klauss of the band Post Mortem to join us to give more impact to the new tracks with a second guitarist.

2. What is the meaning of the EP/CD name?

The title of the album was chosen for two reasons, the first is related title Nightmare which tells about the attacks on Bataclan in Paris, and the second sense is for the revival of the band after the Covid situation which was a nightmare for the entire planet.

3. Which one is the composer of the CD/EP?

I am the main composer of the band, I come up with an idea and a first construction and then we develop and work together, each one brings its part and is totally free of expression.

4. If you had to pick one song, which one would you pick?

I love our latest titles but I have a weakness for «Liar»

5. Is there a special message in this EP/CD? If there is what it is?

This album is an observation of what the human being is capable of doing, that is to say, to destroy themselves through war, pollution, attacks, exclusion, and exploitation of resources… there’s so much to say.

6. Are there some lyrics that you'd love to share?

Yes the whole album, each title has a message to pass.

7. Which inspirations have been important for this album? Like musically or friends, family, someone you'd love to thank especially?

I want to thank the new team that works with us for this new album and for the next ones, it's just an amazing team with Nico Maugainour manager, David Husserourproducer, David Boons Chambon our graphic designer, these guys are great. 8. Something to add? I thank you for this interview and I wish a good listening of the album to all your readers
