Interviews About Albums: TakaLaiton - Mindfection (2023)

In this new interview, we sat down with the Finnish Thrash Metal band TakaLaiton to ask some questions about their new album "Mindfection". 

1. What can you say about this new EP/CD?

That it is so far the heaviest and the most variable release we have made. Although it has the familiar TakaLaiton sound that the fans have grown up with, this is a big notch up for us musically.

2. What is the meaning of the EP/CD name?

Mindfection is based on our today's society. We as people do everything to be a part and what's sickening is that we're ready to do anything in the name of couple minutes of fame. This album is based on this sick way our world has come to.

3. Which one is the composer of the CD/EP?

The whole band

4. If you had to pick one song, which one would you pick? 

For me, they would be "Ambassador Of Revenge". Pasi is the main composer for that song and although he thought that this would only be a "filler song" for the album, it turned out to be one of the heaviest and grooviest songs of the album and also my personal favorite.

5. Is there a special message in this EP/CD? If there is what it is?

Yes there is. The separation between people in our society has become undeniable which builds nothing but sorrow and pain for us. People need to realize that we as people mostly don't make controversy between each other, leaders do.

6. Are there some lyrics that you'd love to share?

"Spread the fear, the enemy is all among us. Pick your side, join the redemption to destruction for us all"

7. Which inspirations have been important for this album? Like musically or friends, family, someone you'd love to thank especially?

Our world leaders for making such a fucked up, yet inspirational modern world.
