Behind The Tracks: RAHWAY - Rocketship (Single) (2023)

The concept and idea of this song, once again came from David Cardenas, our guitar player. At first, I was a little skeptical because of its simplicity, but the groove was so sleazy sounding. Then when David showed us and sang his idea to us, I was sold. It was so catchy and anthemic, I couldn't get it out of my head for days.

Next rehearsal, Nick came back with these lyrics that mimicked David's idea for the song. All I kept on thinking was if this song hits the radio airwaves, it could be the instant hit we've been waiting for. Then we wrote this jam section going into the guitar solo that had this RUSH feel to it, but it just rocked. It's just such a cool song about having big dreams and just going for them. Just like us, the band Rahway. We have big dreams and we're going for it. Good luck getting this hook out of your heads!
