Jason Williams (Bass/Vocals): The single was written about past relationships, we have all been victims of domestic violence in one form or another, whether it was physically, mentally, or emotionally so we wanted to learn from it and bring light to it. We felt males especially are afraid to speak up about it and we wanted to lean into that.
