Interviews About Albums: Hädangången - Likfärd (2023)

In this new interview, we sat down with the Swedish Atmospheric Black Metal/Raw Black Metal/Black Metal band Hädangången to ask some questions about their new album "Likfärd". 

1. What can you say about this new EP?

Hagalaz breathing the core.

The Ep (Likfärd) comes through my personal struggles/ the search for the primitive, the connection to my Scandinavian nature and old forgotten honor. This is raw and dark black metal, the poison of hate and sorrow.

2. What is the meaning of the EP name?

Likfärd ( in English) is death traveling. It represents the core and essence of black metal and is the connection of this EP. Death is a freedom and representation of my personal emotions, people, and my surroundings.

3. Which one is the composer of the EP?

You are speaking to him.

4. If you had to pick one song, which one would you pick?

On my ep that will be ( Själslig frid): freedom of the soul.

5. Is there a special message in this EP? If there is what it is?

I think that this message should be up to the listener to find out by themselves. 

6. Are there some lyrics that you'd love to share?

At the moment no.

7. Which inspirations have been important for this album? Like musically or friends, family, someone you'd love to thank especially?

My nature, enemies, and all the sheep in the black metal scene.

8. Something to add?

The Ep is recorded in the woods of Sweden. I wanted to capture something deeper and primitive. I think that struggle is something you need to look for, pushing yourself out of your comfort zone to make real music. Why do it all in a studio when you can do it for real connecting yourself with your culture in art and nature?
