Interviews: Lyrizone

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Nu-Metal/Rock artist, Lyrizone from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the artist on his FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

I actually had that name as a teen whenever I wrote poetry and it actually just stuck throughout time. It's actually as simple as (Lyrics + In The Zone) (Lyrizone) Short sweet and to the point, I suppose. Haha

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

I was raised on classic rock and metal in general and from a early age I was very involved in the hip-hop community, so it was best to give back to what "made me" by doing something unique with nu-metal that in a gist is a product of both. 3. Did you know each other before the band was formed? I have known my producer Joshua Holland of Green Light Studios for many years now, it's actually funny how he was one of the few to see the complete evolution of my brand and play a key element in how each track sounds. We usually spend most of our planning sessions flushing out ideas on how to really make this distinction and have it stand out, as every person behind a soundboard should.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

My favorite band is Shinedown, I believe Josh's is Sevendust.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

I am a history nut by nature so that always helps as most to all the songs are within the historical fiction realm so research is key. I typically find inspiration by going to new places or digging deep and finding some emotional feeling that would resonate with the topic I'm writing about.

6. Where was your last gig?

It's been a while actually! The last one was at the Brick House in Vancouver, WA.

7. Where would you like to act?

If we are speaking of acting in general, I also do that as well. haha, I would like to be a lead in a drama or sitcom. If it is show related, I would like to perform at the Red Rock Amphitheater.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

I'd love to do some work with Matthew Sanders (M. Shadows) of Avenged Sevenfold. I feel as though both of our styles would complement each other well!

9. Whom not?

None currently, I'm never really dismissive of someone's work. Being an artist, there is always a way to make something work.

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

My first actual case of stage fright was actually when I was still a hip-hop artist. I was performing and there was a line that I got mixed up due to the tongue twister of a setup I put the wrong line in and even though no one really noticed, I was new and extremely uneasy about it. Hence why I'm such a stickler for practice now.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Alice Cooper, one of the best visual and performing acts of all time IMO

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

I would say it's my actual address. Haha, I always give out my PO Box info but I had one case where they asked where I physically lived and wanted to "stop by." Nah, son.

13. What do you think of your fans?

I love them to death as most of them are like me. Living each day the best they can and doing whatever they can to make each day purposeful.

14. What do you think of our site?

For a band blog/ promotion site I think it looks pretty solid!

15. Something to add?

Only because I'm such a visual type artist and love clarity and vividness, I would probably get a more clear background behind the blog template. Maybe some pictures of the artists you interview. I'd be happy to send you some!
