Interviews: Re:silence
On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Rock band, Re:silence from Germany. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.
1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
We brainstormed and came up with the idea to mix up the word resilience a bit. So we came up with Re: SILENCE as a response to silence, combined with the actual resilience, which music can support.
2. Why did you want to play this genre?
We play a style of alternative rock...when we start writing music, the songs came up like that. We wanted to make music we would like to listen to. And that's the result.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
No, we got together through the music!
4. Each band member's favorite band?
Hard to tell one all-time favorite. We won't reveal who is who but let's give it a try with these: Blind Guardian, Pearl Jam, The Hellacopters, Slipknot
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
News, Thoughts, Daily life, Other songs. Summed up: life.
6. Where was your last gig?
In an Avenue in Hamburg, which was great. We played with 2 other bands that night and had a great time playing live.
7. Where would you like to act?
Everywhere our music is welcome.
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
We have no special act in mind.
9. Whom not?
Band or artist that would not be compatible with our moral concept.
10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?
We are all nervous before a show, that's just part of being in a band and playing live. But it doesn't affect us in an unhealthy way. Take 5 deep breaths and enjoy the opportunity to share your music with others. That's a great experience!
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
That's too many to mention.
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
Until now, nothing weird happened. We'll give you a call as soon as it happens!
13. What do you think of your fans?
We cherish every listener and person who likes our music. Getting in contact after a gig for example is always great and gives us the hype to continue even besides our own drive for making music.
14. What do you think of our site?
Looks great, we will be one of the quieter bands around the site for sure. But even without making it, we like a lot of core music.
15. Something to add?
Just thank you and a shout out to all readers to check out our album on all available platforms!
Stay safe, see you!
