Interviews: SEAL FUR PEELING


On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Death Metal band, SEAL FOR PEELING from Japan. Check out the interview and the band.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Hayashi: At the beginning of our formation, we discussed the concept of the Earth in space, humans on Earth, and the natural environment surrounding humans. Then we got to SEAL FUR PEELING.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Hayashi: I was shocked by Mr. Flo Mounier's blast beat of Cryptopsy. I also wanted to play death metal.

Usui: I was invited by Mr. Hayashi.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Usui: We worked together in a previous band.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Usui: I like X Japan and J-pop in general.

Hayashi: I have many favorite bands. Starting with Rainbow, Billy Cobham of JazzRock. There are many, including Cryptopsy and Origin.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Usui: I started playing the guitar and soon became interested in composing.

6. Where was your last gig?

Hayashi: I'm not currently gig.

7. Where would you like to act?

Usui/Hayashi: I want to be active anywhere.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Usui/Hayashi: I can't think of any right now. However, if there is an opportunity, I would like to collaborate.

9. Whom not?

Usui/Hayashi: I can't think of any right now.

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

Hayashi: I chant a spell before the live. Play as you normally would. Recite as you practice. and have fun.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Hayashi: In addition to death metal bands, there are also progressive rock and 70's hard rock and 80's metal are also inspirations.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Hayashi: There was no weirdest thing.

13. What do you think of your fans?

Usui/Hayashi: Thank you very much for listening to our music. And I want to make music so that many people can enjoy it.

14. What do you think of our site?

Usui/Hayashi: Thank you very much for your great support of the metal scene. And I am happy that our band, which has a short history of activity, will be given the opportunity.

Hayashi: 1st full-length CD on July 28, 2023 Daggers Predacious will be released. Various riffs, rhythms, and tempos are included. "Everyone, please listen."
