Interviews: Sobak

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Rock 'N' Roll artist, Sobak from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the artist on his FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Sobak is my Last name.  

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

I’ve always loved Rock Music and some Metal Music as long as it wasn’t Dark.  

3. Your favorite band? 

My all time Favorite Band is Bon Jovi.

4. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

I’ve always been a very creative and artistic person. I have simply written about all my life experiences and the people that have come across my path. I also get very influenced by events on television and deaths of famous people and the deaths of my family members. I’m influenced by all types of music but a lot by the Rock genre. I can’t pinpoint what era because all of them have influenced me in some form. With my music, I keep it really straight from the heart. There’s NO fluff in my music and I never have to search and struggle for the lyrics, again it’s straight from the heart. I like it that way because the heart never lies. 

5. Where was your last gig?

My last show was in Southern California. 

6. Where would you like to act?

I would like to be a National Touring Act throughout the USA and even overseas.  

7. Whom would you like to feature with?

I would love to be the opening act for Bon Jovi, Goo Goo Dolls, or maybe even Keith Urban.  

8. Whom not?

Any Artist or Band that is Dark or has a Dark Message. 

9. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright?

Only once where I had forgotten the lyrics to a cover song but I quickly recovered and performed one of my original songs instead. Any tips for beginners on how to beat that? Be confident and know your material ahead of time and be overly prepared. Remember we’re all human so the audience puts on their pants the same way you do. Make your performance the focal point, not the show. If your performance is spot on your audience will embrace your show. 

10. What bands have inspired you the most?

Bon Jovi, Slaughter, Goo Goo Dolls, and mainly 80’s & 90’s Rock. 

11. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

A female fan asked me for all the lyrics to one of my original slow songs. She then wrote them on a napkin at the venue.  

12. What do you think of your fans?

My fans are Awesome and Very Dedicated and LOVE my catchy, melodic, memorable songs.  

13. What do you think of our site?

I Love it!

14. Something to add?

I was born to change Rock N Roll to be more of a positive experience and I’m inching closer and closer every day to accomplishing that goal. Sobak ROCKS~!!!
