Interviews About Albums: AMELIORATE - Master, Master! (2023)
In this new interview, we sat down with the Bulgarian Heavy Metal artist AMLIORATE to ask some questions about their album "Master, Master!".
1. What can you say about this new EP/CD?
To start, this album represents me. As AMELIORATE is a one-man show from Sofia, Bulgaria, naturally all songs
were written, produced, and recorded by me. Throughout my career as a musician, I've written a lot of riffs and
wanted to combine them into one project. I have participated in some bands, but it was never even close to what
my vision of the music I play was. That's why I decided to go alone and write "Master, Master!". It represents me, it
represents all the people that struggle with some bad thoughts, it represents being a human being and coping with
life. Is it easy? No, it's not, but it will be worth it in the end.
2. What is the meaning of the EP/CD name?
"Master, Master!" carries the name of the second album song of the album. It represents that one thing that
always drives us, the "Master" behind us.
3. Which one is the composer of the CD/EP?
"AMELIORATE" is the composer, author, and owner of the songs.
4. If you had to pick one song, which one would you pick?
If I had to pick one of the songs, I'd have to choose "Master, Master!". Starts with a bang, has an amazing
rhythmic riff, a heavy riff on the chorus, and an overall great vibe to me. I hope all the listeners think the same not
only for that song but for the other 9 tracks as well!
5. Is there a special message in this EP/CD? If there is what it is?
The specific message is that it's okay to be you, it's okay to have bad thoughts, it's okay to be human, and it will
be okay.
6. Are there some lyrics that you'd love to share?
Listen to "Deceived". I like the lyrics there the most.
7. Which inspirations have been important for this album? Like musically or friends, family, someone you'd love to thank especially?
Inspiration comes and goes, but what sticks the most is the feeling things give us. For example, regardless of
the fact that my album "Master, Master!" was recorded before the release of "72 Seasons" by Metallica, this album
left a feeling in me that makes me headband every time I'm listening to it. With that said, as far as music goes, what
inspired me throughout my 28 years on this planet is definitely Metallica, Trivium, and Iron Maiden. I love these
bands and I can listen to their music 24/7! Other than that, I also got inspired by Slayer, Megadeth, and BFMV and I
love listening to artists like Johnny Cash, Ed Sheeran, Post Malone, and, no joking, Taylor Swift. I listen to all kinds
of music that inspire me to write my own.
8. Something to add?
Listen to the album. I promise that you'll love its vibe and would definitely headband at least 10 times while doing
so! It's the culmination of my 28 years here and I would appreciate it if you give it a go!
