Interviews: Pile Of Death

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Thrash Metal/Death Metal band Pile Of Death, from Sweden. Check out this band and give them a like on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

It was taken from one of our already-written songs, also named Pile of Death.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

We all came from other bands playing different genres, like doom metal and rock'n'roll. So we wanted to intensify the game and play faster n' thrashier.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes, we live in the same town of Nässjö Rock City and have been friends for over 10 years.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Jimmy - Black Sabbath

Gabbe - Motörhead & LIK

Martin - MANOWAR

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

The inevitable self-annihilation of mankind and previous wars

6. Where was your last gig?

Kristiflax Festival in Tjörn, Sweden

7. Where would you like to act?

Gefle Metal Festival, Metal Fest Sweden, The Abyss Festival, Mangelfest in Stockholm, Metal Magic Festival in Fredricia and Germany!

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Any Swedish death metal band, they are all awesome!

Alpha Boys

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

Nah, we have several years of experience of touring with other bands. So these days we take a beer or two and just enjoy the atmosphere and appreciate all promotors and organizers that arrange live gigs!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Slayer, Entombed, Black Sabbath, Kreator, At the Gates, and of course Manowar

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

No question is weird for us, so we are open for business!

13. What do you think of your fans?

They are great and the reason we can continue making music! Thanks for all the support, buying our merch and vinyls!

It's awesome! The web needs more of this shit!
