Interviews: UNCAVED

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Progressive  Death Metal band UNCAVED from Switzerland. Check out this band and follow them on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or come out just like that?

The name Uncaved is related to the concept of our lyrics. But to be honest, it took us quite a while to agree on a name.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Every member of our band really enjoys death metal, but we also wanted to have an additional challenge. That’s why decided on doing some progressive stuff.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

No, we found most members on online forums.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Gregor: Periphery

Félicien: Epica

Simon: Opeth

Samuel: Suffocation

Ralph: Pink Floyd

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

We create music for the joy of it.

6. Where was your last gig?

We’ll play our release show on the 20th of October at the KIFF in Aarau (CH).

7. Where would you like to act?

All over the world.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

We’d love to play with bands such as Virvum, Anachronism, Stortregn, Comaniac, Kerberos, and Irony of Fate. But we dream about playing with bigger bands like Meshuggah, Zeal & Ardor, Decapitated, Opeth, and At the Gates.

9. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

Of course, everyone experiences this at the beginning. It’s important to continue playing gigs and the stage fright will lessen. But stage fright also gives you a very important feeling that you can learn to appreciate.

10. What bands have inspired you the most?

Death, Suffocation, Dream Theater, Rush, Obscura, and Johann Sebastian Bach

11. What do you think of your fans?

We love them dearly.

12. What do you think of our site?

Keep it up with the good work!

13. Something to add?

Thank you so much for interviewing us and go listen to our debut.
