Interviews; VOIDS

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Metalcore band, VOIDS from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

When we rebranded we wanted something that represented our message of using music as a coping mechanism to get you through whatever someone may be going through and after throwing out a bunch of different names, Voids was the one that we collectively gravitated towards that fit the best.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

All of us tend to lean towards the heavier side of metal music so it's a perfect fit especially since we get most of our influence from those kinds of styles.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

We have gotten to know each other over the years from other projects that we've been in and playing shows together on occasion.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Chad - Landmvrks

Jason - NDGO

Matt - AC/DC

Jeremiah - Lamb of God

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

What inspires us the most to write is normally whatever we are going through at the time along with just the passion that we all have for music. So normally if someone's going through a rough patch musically and lyrically our music tends to reflect that in a big way.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last show was on June 30th with Nerv and For The Fallen Dreams at Canal Club in Richmond, VA.

7. Where would you like to act?

We would definitely love to play on the west coast. We've only ever really played on the east coast or somewhat close to it and we've heard across the country is a lot of fun.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

There are too many to name but if any of them do happen, it would be something to remember.

9. Whom not?

I don't think there's an artist we wouldn't work with. Everyone's music taste is different and that is what makes all collaborations unique.

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

I believe everyone always has some sort of stage fright at some point while playing music, I know all of us have. The best advice I can give you is just to go out and focus on whatever you're playing and have fun with it regardless of being nervous.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

I wouldn't say one band has inspired us more than another. Anything we like listening to inspires us equally.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

We haven't really had any weird requests. Our fans have been pretty tame so far but maybe after seeing this, they'll start thinking outside the box.

13. What do you think of your fans?

We absolutely love our fans. Returning from a 6 year hiatus and having so much support from our fans has been truly amazing and we can't thank you guys enough.

14. What do you think of our site?

Just to have the opportunity to be featured here is an amazing feeling.

We just want to thank everyone for their overwhelming amount of support and we can't wait to share what we have been working on the past couple of years.
