Interviews: Wolfsstunde

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Metal/Rock band Wolfsstunde from Germany. Check out this band and follow them on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or come out just like that?

We’ve been thinking about it for a long time and Schtef then came up with the name of the band because I suffer a lot from insomnia and I'm awake almost every night in the WOLFSSTUNDE

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

We've all been playing in this genre for a long time, in other bands as well. I myself listen to almost every genre of music from classical to pop. At the moment I listen to a lot of French chanson, but when I make music myself, it has to be metal. That's what I enjoy the most.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes, we have known each other for a few years. But we got to know each other through music.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

The bandwidth is too large... There is not enough space here for that.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

These are issues that are floating around in our heads. Sometimes topical and sometimes just crazy things.

6. Where was your last gig?

It was on June 23rd at Wander's Rock in Ludwigsau, Germany. This was as “Tanzmetall” – a Rammstein Tribute band – that we all play in, too.

7. Where would you like to act?

Everywhere in the world, people want to see and hear us.

8. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

After all, that varies from person to person. I don't have any tips on how to deal with stage fright. Just get up on stage and give it your best shot.

9. What bands have inspired you the most?

Matschek (vox, gui): Mozart, Bach, Knorkator, Dream Theater, Rush, Rammstein…

Schtef (bass): 80ies Melodic Rock, Journey, Toto, old school metal like Judas Priest

Olaf (drums): Camel, Marillion, Alan Parson

Stefan (gui): Metallica, Accept, Danzig, Johnny Cash

10. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Whether my breakfast egg needs to be hard-boiled or soft-boiled

11. What do you think of your fans?

They are the best fans in the world
