Interviews: DOMINANCE

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Black Metal band DOMINANCE from Poland. Check out this band and follow them on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or come out just like that?

We got it from one of the first songs we wrote together, it means to overpower the opponent or victim, fits our music and lyrics very nicely.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Each of us is heavily into this style of combining black metal with thrash metal, and we like how it sounds when we create it together.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes, I had played with both guys before in different bands, RAPED CHRIST and MÖRTALIST.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Mine is CZERNINA, Witchfucker’s is GAROTA, and Hellcult’s is DOMINANCE.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Life does.

6. Where was your last gig?

September 2 in Szczecin supporting IXXI (Swe) and NOCTEM (Esp), CZERNINA was also on the bill. We used it as a sort of CD premiere for our album, pretty cool gig.

7. Where would you like to act?

South America, Greece, Finland, and Germany. Two years ago I would have also said Ukraine and Russia, but yeah.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

DESASTER (Ger). I saw them last year in the open air and they were absolutely brilliant. Also a good fit thematically.

9. Whom not?

The Michael Jackson Experience.

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

I don’t think so, not me at least, so I can’t help with that one!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

SODOM, KREATOR, BATHORY, IMMORTAL, GORGOROTH, DAWN, VLAD TEPES, IMPALED NAZARENE, WITCHMASTER, old KRISIUN…

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

What I was gonna do about the fact that I put his safety in danger by randomly throwing a bottle from the stage, that almost hit him.

13. What do you think of your fans?

It depends on which ones specifically.
