Interviews: Empire De Mu

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Death Metal/Black Metal band Empire De Mu from Canada. Check out this band and follow them on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, plan it, or just release it?

I work as a nurse one day at my job an elderly person lent me a book. I wasn't used to accepting gifts or anything usually but this time I made an exception! Reading The Lost Continent of Mu I realized that I wanted to continue the story of Mu and make it a high speed Extreme Operatic Brutal Death Metal band to be an Innovators band.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Empire de Mu wants to contribute to the evolution of music I am a singer with a Classic Soprano bass and I sing Rock/ Metal. I'm looking for musicians who are fans of Extreme Metal in the style of Slamming Brutal Death Metal. for the Second Album The Lotus Legacy.

The first Spiritual Demise Album the musicians were fans of the group The Black Dhalia Murder Fleshgod Apocalypse and I wanted musical endings like Diyng Fetus! So Spiritual Demise met the expectations of the lineup participants in the album. The lineup is completely different now

3. Did you know each other before the formation of the group?

The new lineup for the Single La Travesia I knew Michel Gagné Bouchard Drum during the COVID-19 pandemic. And Mathieu Girard the bassist went to school in high school and at that time we were in different music groups. Remember that we had smoked cigarettes in the Cours du Campus Camille Lavoie to Alma hahaha!

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Arianne Aborted, Origin, Cattle Decapitation, Michael Immortal, Mathieu Dying Fetus.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Nature, the history of the earth, spirituality, and culture of different countries.

6. Where was your last concert?

Montreal

7. Where would you like to act?

I am co-host at Radio CIBL101.5 MONTRÉAL METAL Every Tuesday at 8 p.m. and I talk about different Metal bands all over the province of Quebec It's my way of getting involved in the Metal Scene!!!

8. Who would you like to be featured with?

We would love to play with bands like Beyond Creation First Fragment Neobliviscaris Fleshgod Apocalypse Kataclysm Origin Cattle Decapitation...Bands from the Slamming Brutal Death Metal Scene too.

9. Who not?

Empire de Mu We are open to all kinds of Metal Music! To share the stage, we (4) musicians are respectful and friendly people!!

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners to overcome this?

Not consuming alcohol or illicit substances won't help... stay well hydrated, and don't eat too much before a show. Help these musicians and sell the CD T-shirts and Hoodies, going to present to the other Bands of the evening. Going into the room to see the people who are there for the concert, helps them calm down and stay focused. Mathieu Girard; the track is an Illusion to think that it's going to go wrong, chase away doubt live in the present moment, and have fun!

11. Which bands have inspired you the most?

Gorgust Steeve Hurdle the composer, I had the chance to meet and be his friend, I miss him a lot, and I would like him to hear the Music of Empire de Mu he inspired me a lot in the sense of not setting limits not going into already known musical standards and doing what I like in melodies with my voice, Steve Hurdle opened me up to a musical universe unlimited. I wish to rest in peace.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you?

We are respectful to everyone and we appreciate all people who come to see us in shows so whatever the requests they are generally welcome!!

13. What do you think of your fans?

I will personally shake their hands when they come to our shows and I offer them our new products as previews, even for videos and musical pieces!! I thank them for this move to encourage us!!
