Interviews: PISTOLS AT DAWN

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Hard Rock band PISTOLS AT DAWN from the USA. Check out this band and follow them on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or come out just like that?

The band name was inspired by the old duels people would have when their honor and dignity were called into question. I was inspired by "The Count of Monte Cristo" which I had seen recently when naming the band.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

We grew up with rock, hard rock, and metal music and it flows through our DNA. 

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

We did not know each other. Adam founded Pistols At Dawn with a previous lineup. Will was in a Bon Jovi tribute band and auditioned. Jon and Gabriel were in a progressive metal band out of Miami and were called out of the blue to join similar to the movie "Rockstar" with Mark Wahlberg.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

We're inspired by everything from Metallica, Pantera, Van Halen, Sleep Token, Guns N Roses, AC/DC, to Breaking Benjamin and Foo Fighters....the list is enormous.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Music is in our DNA, we can't help it.

6. Where was your last gig?

This past Saturday at Taste of Madison, Wisconsin, Alter Bridge Pawns & Kings tour and UKJ and Fozzy tour before that.

7. Where would you like to act?

If you're asking where we would like to play: we have EVERY major arena in the United States and all major festivals...EU, Australia, Japan, South America...

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Amy Lee would be a dream to collaborate with on an upcoming track.

9. Whom not?

We have no limitations.

10. Have any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

No. But the only tip we can give is to be effing prepared.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Same as our influences above.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Marriage proposals.

13. What do you think of your fans?

We adore them. They are our lifeblood.

14. What do you think of our site? 

Badass.
