Interviews: Vimaara

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Metal solo project Vimaaraa from France. Check out this project and follow it on his FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or come out just like that?

That's a long story. First, I always wanted to set a name that I invented and that didn't mean anything, I think it sets it apart from a lot of band names and helps out for remembering the name (as it's uncommon) and helps out the recommencement (as it's unlikely you will find anything but this project if you search the name). So a long time ago, I had a personal music project called "The Intimate Paradox". I thought I'd transform it for legacy so: "The" sounds like "V" and then I took "ima" from "Intimate" and "ara" from "Paradox", resulting in Vimaara.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

The music I make is just a blend of all the metal subgenres I like. Except Deathcore maybe haha. So my music doesn't really fit into one genre. It's kind of hard for me to assign it a genre. I'll let you decide where my music stands!

3. Your favorite band? 

My favorite band is the Japanese metal band Dir En Grey. 

4. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

I just like music as a means of expression. It's really the only means that can combine deep feelings in a combination of sounds and words. 

5. Where was your last gig? 

It's only an online project. 

6. What bands have inspired you the most? 

Dir En Grey Sukekiyo Rentrer En Soi Katatonia

7. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

No one has asked me anything yet.  

8. What do you think of your fans?

The project is very new so I don't think I have true "fans" yet but I'd just like to thank that who watched/streamed/subscribed lately.
