Interviews: Zivar

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Atmospheric Black Metal/Ambient Black Metal band Zivar from Hungary. Check out this band and follow them on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or come out just like that?

I definitely wanted a Hungarian name for the band. "Zivar" is the old term for today's word "Zivatar". Zivatar means thunderstorm in English. I love rainy weather, fall, so this was perfect.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

I love Black Metal and its various subgenres. I think this is the most sincere music, the artist can convey a lot of feelings to the listener.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

I'm a one-man band, there's no one by my side.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

On behalf of, my favorites: Groza, Mgła, NONE, Thy Ligth, Burzum, Witchthrone (Hungarian band), Der Weg Einer Freiheit, and many more bands

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

The love of music. A passion for the genre. I like playing the guitar. They inspire me, and the aforementioned bands

6. Where was your last gig?

I don't do concerts, I record music by myself.

7. Where would you like to act?

Nowhere yet.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

I would love to do something in Thy Light. I love its depressing, dark atmosphere. 

9. Whom not?

I haven't thought about that yet.

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

In the past, when I played on stage with a band, of course, I was a little nervous, but it wasn't serious

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Mgła, Groza, Burzum, and many more Atmospheric Black Metal bands.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

This has never happened before

13. What do you think of your fans?

I love them because they love what I do.

Nice site. The releases are very good. You are doing well.
