Behind The Artworks: Through Mists - Summon The Severed (2023)

The Arton the cover of Summon The Severed depicts a disfigured deity in a dark corner of hell. It is a photograph that I found so haunting that I needed to use it. Artistically, going away from painting/illustration style art made sense to me as the album uses a few different recording techniques than what I have been used to in the past, combined with the arguably gorier lyrical themes versus previous Through Mists releases, a change in style like this fit the bill.
